Pharmacological action

1.Antiparasitic drugs.

2.Albendazole has a broad-spectrum activity of parasite elimination, with strong killing effect on nematodes, tapeworms and trematodes. Its mechanism action is to prevent the multimerization with α-tubulin and formation of microtubules by binding to the tubulin in the worm body, thus affecting the cell propagation processes in the worm body such as mitosis, protein assemble and energy metabolism.

3.Ivermectin has a good killing effect on both endoparasite and ectoparasite, especially the arthropods and nematodes. It is mainly used to eliminate gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworm and ectoparasite of pigs and other animals. Its mechanism action is to promote the release of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in presynaptic neurons, thus opening GABA-mediated chloride channels. The chloridion flow can reduce the resistance of cell membranes and cause the slight depolarization of subsynaptic membrane static potential, thus interfering with the signal transmission between neuromuscular, relaxing and paralyzing the worms, leading to the death of the worm body or its expulsion from the body.

 

Indications

It is used to eliminate or kill the pig nematodes, trematodes, tapeworms, mites and other internal or external parasites.

 

Withdrawal period: pigs 28 days.
