Product characteristics
Colorless or light yellow clear liquid.
Drug interaction
Do not use together with non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, otherwise it will increase the adverse effects on gastrointestinal tract, such as ulcers, bleeding, etc.
Due to the high binding rate of plasma protein, when used in combination with other drugs, Flunixin Meglumine may replace the other drugs that bind to plasma proteins or being replaced by them, which causes the replacement drug become more effective and even toxic.
It is used as adjuvant therapy for sows metritis- mastistis-agalactia with antibiotics.
Indications
Antipyretic analgesic anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used in livestock and small animals for febrile and inflammatory diseases, muscle pain and soft tissue pain, etc.
Administration and dosage
Intramuscular or intravenous injection
Beef cattle and pigs: 0.4ml per 10kg body weight per dose;
Dogs and cats: 0.2-0.4ml.
1-2 times a day, treatment should be controlled within 5 consecutive days.
Adverse drug reaction
Intramuscular injection has a local stimulation effect, and long-term extensive use of this product may lead to gastric ulcer and kidney function damage in animals.
Warnings and precautions
Animals with peptic ulcer should use with caution.
It shall not be used together with other non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs.
Withdrawal period: cattle and pigs 28 days.
